Exhibition: The Nineteenth Century: American and European Art

This exhibition features outstanding nineteenth-century paintings and sculptures from the Museum’s permanent collection and highlights collectors such as James Bowdoin III, George William Boyd, and Mary and Harriet Walker who were instrumental in building a fine arts collection at Bowdoin College.

Museum Hours

Tuesday–Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Thursday: 10:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.

Special Sunday hours: 12:00 noon–5:00 p.m. (June 29–November 10, 2019)

Closed on Mondays and national holidays.The Bowdoin College Museum of Art is open to the public free of charge, although donations are welcome. The Museum is wheelchair accessible through the Pavilion entrance. Bowdoin College Museum of Art is a member of The Maine Art Museum Trail

Brunswick Downtown Association's Community BBQ logoPlease join the BDA at a Community BBQ as we pay Tribute to First Responders to recognize their service and dedication to our community AND WELCOME New Residents to Brunswick! Fun, family, food & music on the Town Mall.

Live music by Los Galactacos, Face Painting by Bangor Savings Bank, Tractor-Train rides by Ray Labbe & Sons, Bounce House by Pathway Vineyard, Active Fire Trucks to explore, Midcoast Humane puppies and other furry creatures and more!!

Adults: $5 per person. Kids: 5 and under $3, all cooked by Celebrity grillers! No fee for First Responders.
Meal includes choice of hamburger or 2 hot dogs, chips, cookie, watermelon & beverage. Tickets only available at the door.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Everyone welcome!

Aikido Demonstration

Come in to learn the basics of Aikido, an ancient Japanese martial art that is designed to redirect energy. Rooted in self-defense it does not rely on a person size or strength but rather body movement and knowledge of the direction of a force.

This is a free demonstration with engaging group interaction.

All ages are welcome!
