Points of View Artists Exhibit Nature of the UniversePoints of View Artists close their 2018 gallery season with Nature of the Universe, an artful exploration by 14 artists ranging from physics to reality, life and humanity. On the 3rd floor, Jackie Melissas and Ann Slocum show Works in Progress. The exhibits open September 10.

Casco Bay Art Club Art Show OpeningThornton Oaks Retirement Community invites the public to the opening reception of an exhibit by the Casco Bay Art Club, Wednesday, October 3, at 4:00 The art show and sale will offer a delightful mix of oils, pastels, and watercolor paintings. Also included will be an assortment of mixed medium, wood block etchings and notecards for holiday gifts. Exhibiting artists are: Carolyn Bachman, Kathy Baribeau, Donna Baughcum, Betsy Bisson, Carol Durgin, Jane Dugan Fife, Lois Jordan, Louise Minot and Valerie Tamplin. The art will be on exhibit from through November 30. After the opening reception, call the Thornton Oaks office at 373-4600 for best times for viewing. Thornton Oaks Retirement Community is a homeowners cooperative and includes 46 cottages and 98 apartments nestled in 29 wooded acres in Brunswick.
