More About LifeFlight of Maine
LifeFlight’s vision for Maine is a place in which every person, in every community, has access to critical care and medical transport when they need it. Their mission is to transform the critical care transport medicine system into an integrated, high quality, patient-centered system worthy of the public’s trust.

Maine is the second most rural state by population density in the United States. LifeFlight of Maine’s aircraft, three helicopters and one airplane, bring lifesaving equipment and critical care nurses and paramedics to emergency scenes and small, rural hospitals throughout the state. Once stabilized, patients are then transported to one of Maine’s three trauma centers, or the nearest appropriately equipped hospital that is capable of caring for the patient’s individual needs.

LifeFlight’s aircraft, based in Bangor at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Lewiston at Central Maine Medical Center, and Sanford at Seacoast Regional Airport, cover the entire state of Maine and offshore islands. LifeFlight complements and supports the work of local physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and local emergency medical services (EMS) in caring for the critically ill and injured. The helicopters and airplane are staffed by teams of highly qualified critical care transport nurses and paramedics.

S? Percussion

With innovative multi-genre original productions, sensational interpretations of modern classics, and an “exhilarating blend of precision and anarchy, rigor and bedlam,” (The New Yorker), S? Percussion has redefined the scope and vital role of the modern percussion ensemble. S?’s repertoire ranges from “classics” of the 20th century, to commissioning and advocating works by contemporary composers, to distinctively modern collaborations with artists who work outside the classical concert hall. S? Percussion also composes and performs their own works, ranging from standard concert pieces to immersive multi-genre programs. In these concert-length programs, S? Percussion employs a distinctively 21st century synthesis of original music, artistic collaboration, theatrical production values and visual art, into a powerful exploration of their own unique and personal creative experiences.
