Winter Wisdom – Johannes Brahms, “The Young Eagle”*
Mr. George Lopez is the Beckwith Artist-in-Residence at Bowdoin College and a familiar performer/lecturer in the Bath/Brunswick Community. He has received local and international acclaim for his artistry at the piano as well as his insight and depth of context for the works of many composers. He will perform excerpts by Brahms and discuss the conflicted relationship between the composer and his contemporary, Robert Schumann. Mr. Lopez is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music and received his Master’s Degree from the Sweelinck Conservatory, Amsterdam.

Million Dollar Quartet at MSMT

Points of View Art Gallery exhibits Earth and Sky

Points of View Artists Barbara and Craig Snapp are joined by guest artists Priscilla and David McKeith for Earth and Sky beginning on June 4.  Their show includes stunning landscapes from Maine to California.  On the 3rd floor, Alan Mast uses collage to craft fanciful artwork in Visual Entertainments. Tea With Harriet

Tea With Harriet: Held the third Thursday of each month at 1 PM. Come have tea and celebrate the life and legacy of Harriet Beecher Stowe through an entertaining talk that highlights different topics relating to her writing, her family and her extraordinary life.  The event is free, but due to popularity, tickets are required, and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Log in to www.bowdoin/tea to reserve your spot or to add your name to the waiting list. Tickets become available on the third Thursday of each month for the follow month’s event.  Tea With Harriet is held at 63 Federal Street, Brunswick, in the home where Harriet Beecher Stowe lived and wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin.

The event is free and open to the public.

Dementia Caregivers Education Series

The Dementia Caregivers Education Series is a free monthly support group offered by Mid Coast Senior Health Center to assist individuals in understanding and caring for someone with memory loss.

Sessions will take place the third Thursday of every month except July, August, and December. Events start at 4:00 p.m.

Pejepscot Historical Society Brunswick MaineJoin PHS for the first of four Chamberlain themed happy hours! Phil Schlegel has extensively researched Chamberlain’s badge collection and will discuss why, when, and where Chamberlain received many of them during this talk.
