Hops in the Hangar

What’s better than a flight of craft beer? Enjoying a beer flight while vintage aircraft take flight just steps away.

Flight Deck Brewing and the Owls Head Transportation Museum (OHTM) have teamed up to bring you Hops in the Hangar – the only craft beer and airshow festival on the East Coast. Hosted in OHTM’s aviation hangar on historic Runway 17, this event combines a diverse range of craft beer with rarely seen demonstrations from pre-1940s aircraft and automobiles.

Offering everything from classic to contemporary, Flight Deck has curated an event lineup of pours to suit any palette, all made with 100% renewable energy at their brewery, located on the former Naval Air Station in Brunswick. The Saltbox Café, Maine’s only tiny house food truck, and the highly anticipated Nom Bai Street Kitchen will be on site to serve up a bevy of creative specialties throughout the event.

In addition to the auto and aircraft show featuring OHTM’s world-class collection, each regular admission ticket includes twelve 4-oz pours, a custom souvenir glass and full access to the Museum’s multiple exhibit halls day-of prior to the event.

The festival will be held in the heart of Midcoast Maine at 117 Museum Street in Owls Head, just a few miles from downtown Rockland (Featured in Smithsonian’s Top 20 Best Small Towns to Visit).
