Eat Our Yards – Food for Thought to Plant Your Plot

Join us for a series of lectures meant to help anyone turn their yard into an edible paradise. Learn to decorate your front lawn with edible ornamentals, turn your backyard into a living kitchen pantry, or grow your own medicine. Beginner gardeners can benefit from talks on vegetable gardening strategies, while experts at small-scale growing can expand their skills with knowledge of perennial fruits and vegetables. All can explore gardening beyond traditional crops with the series’ lectures on how novices can care for bees, mushrooms and livestock. Bring your questions, leave with notes, and grow with us! ·        Wednesday March 22nd at 10:00 am –  Zumba Fitness with Bea!

Zumba is a choreograph fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez during the 1990s. 

 Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo.

·        Wednesday March 22nd at 5:15 pm –  Sassy Hip Hop with Liza!

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.

Our instructor Liza May, has been teaching Hip Hop for over 8 years, and now incorporates jazz, modern and contemporary into her sassy, empowering style.

Liza’s professional training includes, but is not limited to: -Broadway Theater and Dance workshop in New Mexico, Broadway Dance Center in New York, Choreographer & Co-Artistic Director for Gemini Dance Company and Choreographer & Principal Dancer Resurgence Dance Company Maine

·        Thursday March 23rd at 9 am – Fiesta Fitness with Tony Zumba!

Tony Dance Fiesta (TDF) AKA “Fiesta Fitness” is a Dance Program that gives you a great fitness result. Unlike many other fitness programs using dance steps and choreography; TDF uses 80% music of Latin flair and Tony Dance Fitness Studio photo20% multicultural. TDF is NOT choreographed there are no tricky combinations that are difficult to follow. You will get to see and practice the routines in every class. You can follow this class without knowing a single dance step! If you hate to work out, but love to dance… Join the Fiesta!!!! 

·        Monday March 27th at 5:30 pm – Fiesta Infierno with Tony!

This class is 45 minutes of high energy Fiesta Fitness class, with very little break and extra workout! Fiesta Infierno is never boring and changes daily to keep it interesting with a love for great music at its peak. This class is for everybody, gender, age and shape… you will go at your own pace, just like you would in a dance club. This is a cardio workout that never gets boring.
