National Poetry Month

The Poetry Place – In partnership with Village Heritage Society ”Brunswick”

April is National Poetry Month. In honor of this special designation ‘People Plus” writers’ group will place some of their original poetry in the windows of Big Top Deli, Broadway Deli and Cool As a Moose. Gulf of Maine’s window will feature poems by Gary Lawless. Poet Patty L. Sparks will be posting her poetry at Bull Moose, Indrani’s, Lighthouse Deli, Union Street Bakery, Warmings Market, and Wild Oates Bakery. Hatch, the MIX, Morning Glory, and the Nest will be displaying poems in their storefronts.

Please join in this celebration and place a poem in your downtown window. The poem you choose could be by a Brunswick poet, a Maine poet or even a poem that will help draw customers to the downtown shopping experience and your business.

And remember on Poem In Your Pocket Day, Thursday April 26th to put a poem in your pocket and don a logo sticker. Help bring poetry to the downtown so Brunswick will become the PLACE where people will come together to celebrate poets and their craft.
