07/19/17 - 08/05/17 at 12:00 am

Dust off your leather jackets, twirl your poodle skirts! It’s Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies”.

Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high school romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including “You’re The One That I Want,” “Grease Is The Word,” “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” “Greased Lightnin’” and many more.

So throw your mittens around your kittens and hand jive the night away with the show that’ll make you want to stand up and shout, ‘A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop, a-wop-bam-boom!’

Show times at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Call 207-725-8769 or visit for tickets!

Farrenc, Ravel, and Bridge

Tonight’s program opens with the work of composer, pianist, pedagogue, and scholar Louise Farrenc, a towering musical figure of 19th-century Paris. In addition to her many accomplishments, she fought for equal pay with her male colleagues as the only woman professor at the Paris Conservatoire. Her beautiful Piano Quintet takes up the sonorous instrumentation of Schubert’s Trout Quintet, performed last week. The second half of the program brings to light another forgotten gem, the romantically-inclined Sextet by turn-of-the-century British composer Frank Bridge.

Piano Quintet No. 1 in A Minor, Op. 30
Renée Jolles, violin • Liz Freivogel, viola • Denise Djokic, cello • Kurt Muroki, bass • Amalia Rinehart, piano

La Valse for two pianos
Pei-Shan Lee, Elinor Freer, piano

String Sextet in E-Flat Major, H. 107
Mikhail Kopelman, Renée Jolles, violin • Ivo-Jan van der Werff, SoHui Yun, viola • Steven Doane, Rosemary Elliott, cello
