My Money Works

This class can help you gain the skills and confidence you need to stretch your money, pay your bills, reduce debt, find money for savings, plan for retirement, and set personal financial goals. At the end of the class you will have a plan to achieve greater financial stability. A follow-up session is scheduled to provide additional networking and support. Successful completion of this class meets one of the requirements for the Family Development Account (FDA) and Rainy Day Savings (RDS) matched savings programs.

An Afternoon Filled with Laughter

Hear author, talk radio host and Maine humorist John McDonald share stories from his recent book, “Moose Memoirs and Lobster Tales: As True as Maine Stories Ought to Be.” John McDonald has been making people laugh for decades with his humorous yarns poking fun at people from away, people from Maine and life in general. John’s stories will make you laugh ‘til you cry and cry ‘til you laugh. Refreshments and tours of the Maine Lodge will follow.

Kids Tennis at Maine Pines

Junior Kids Tennis is a fast growing lifetime sport! Have your kids join us at Maine Pines on the court for fun games and drills as they learn to play tennis.

Preschool kids meet Thurs from 11:45-12:30, kids ages 4-7 meet on Mon and/or Wed from 4-5, kids ages 8-11 meet on Mon and/or Wed from 5-6.

Middle School kids meet on T/Th/Fri from 4-5 pmball-boy-girl

High School kids meet on T/Th/Fri from 3-4.

Costs vary based on program, but ranges from $40-$69/month. We also offer Saturday Jr. Tennis for kids ages 11-18 and Learn to Rally Saturday tennis for kids ages 4-11.

Small Changes Group Coaching Program

Small Changes is a health coaching program with a built-in support group so we can all make small changes towards our bigger health goals together. The meetings are every other Wednesday night starting April 19, 2017 for a three month total commitment (6 sessions)

The sessions are $30 each ($60/month) but you will receive so much more than information. There will be giveaways, handouts, and maybe a surprise or two. There is a limited number of participants so make sure you sign up here to reserve your spot!

Spring Olive Oil Tasting & Dinner

Chef David Pendexter and his culinary team are excited to partner with Giuseppe Taibi of Olio Taibi in Agrigento, Sicily and Pat O’Brien of FIORE for an in depth tasting and dinner featuring award winning olive oil varietals produced by the Taibi family and imported by FIORE.  Wines for each course have been masterfully paired by Mike DiMillo from DiMillo Imports.

AAUW hosts - Panel of Immigrant Women

The public is invited to a Panel of Immigrant Women in Maine Wednesday, May 17, 7 p.m. at the Curtis Memorial Library, Morrell Meeting Room. 

American Association of University Women has invited five women to share their varied experiences. The five women come from Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Somalia and Zambia.
