Adult Tennis 123

Join us for Adult Tennis 123! It’s perfect for the player who is new to the game or coming back after a break!

Cost is $55 for a month and includes 3 lessons, free weekend court time, all fitness and yoga classes, etc!

The session time choices are: Tues. 9-10 am, Wed. 6-7 pm, and Sat. 10-11 am. It meets for 3 sequential weeks starting the beginning of each month. Classes are a lot of fun and we hope you will join us!

Dementia Caregivers Education Series: Setting Home Up for Success

The Dementia Caregivers Education Series is a free monthly support group offered by Mid Coast Senior Health Center to assist individuals in understanding and caring for someone with memory loss. The ongoing series takes place on the third Thursday of every month from 4 – 5 p.m., at Mid Coast Senior Health Center, 58 Baribeau Drive in Brunswick.

The March event will focus on setting up the home for success. This support group is an affiliated group of the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. For more information, please call (207) 373-4656.

Food for Thought to Plant Your Plot

Join us for a series of lectures meant to help anyone turn their yard into an edible paradise. Learn to decorate your front lawn with edible ornamentals, turn your backyard into a living kitchen pantry, or grow your own medicine. Beginner gardeners can benefit from talks on vegetable gardening strategies, while experts at small-scale growing can expand their skills with knowledge of perennial fruits and vegetables. All can explore gardening beyond traditional crops with the series’ lectures on how novices can care for bees, mushrooms and livestock. Bring your questions, leave with notes, and grow with us! Food for Health: Prevent & Treat Type 2 Diabetes with Diet

Food for Health is a free monthly program offered by Mid Coast Hospital’s Center for Community Health and Wellness. The program provides cooking demonstrations and education showing how chronic diseases can be prevented, treated, and even reversed with a plant-based diet for an over-all healthier lifestyle.

The March 21 session will be focus on preventing & treating type 2 diabetes with diet. These FREE programs are led by Timothy Howe, MD, and Sheryl McWilliams, MPH, RN, and are held at 6:30 p.m. at Brunswick Seventh-day Adventist Church, 333 Maine Street in Brunswick.
