Brown Tail Moth Meeting

As you know, time for this season is running low but Penny Elwell and Barbara Chalou have worked on a handout for the schools and for posting in general,  we still have the opportunity to raise awareness on the radio and in the newspaper, and Bob Harroff is planning to gather data on medical issues resulting from BTM and is working with the arborist at Bowdoin.  There is work to be done, data to be collected, and if we have a dozen people to share the work no one has too much to do.
So please come, join us and find out the latest!

Healthy Weight for a Lifetime Information Session

Mid Coast Hospital’s Healthy Weight for a Lifetime program (formerly Center for Weight & Lifestyle Change) focuses on creating a long-term solution for weight loss by addressing the emotional, physical, and nutritional issues contributing to obesity. The next 12-week program begins April 13.

Members of the community are invited to learn firsthand about the Healthy Weight for a Lifetime program at a free information session on Tuesday, March 14 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mid Coast Hospital’s Medical Office Building, 121 Medical Center Drive, Suite 2200 in Brunswick. The information session offers a complete program overview and open discussion with program staff to determine whether the program is a good fit.

For those struggling with weight loss, diets by themselves do not result in long lasting change. The physician-supervised program will help participants create a foundation to ensure sustained success and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. This 12-week program is set apart due to the multidisciplinary approach that includes nutrition counseling, behavioral health, and exercise coaching.

For more information, call 406-7446 or visit www.midcoasthealth.com/weightloss.
